LAST OF THE CHOC ICES?

Fri May 2nd SS800 @ Dolans [upstairs], Limerick
A musical U-turn
We're playing two gigs this weekend that might be your last chance to see our band in its present form. The first is on Thurs at a Club called Fingerbanger at the Blue Note in Dublin. Also playing will be Holy Roman Army, doors are at 8pm adm €7. The other gig is at Dolan's Limerick on Friday night. We'll be joined by the Grunts - they are a really good band from Cork, I've been working mastering a new recording for them which is coming out later this year and should get them some well deserved attention.
We're working on a musical u-turn at the moment. We've decided to start playing as the folksie/country music version that we've toyed with over the last few years. For this we're being joined by Eoin Jordan & Lisa O'Sullivan of the Ceili Allstars. Eoin plays mean Bazouki and Lisa make sweet sound with her fiddle. We've begun rehearsing for a gig we'll be doing in the Spiegel Tent during Cork's Mid Summer Festival. We'll be giving more info about this in the coming weeks.
At the moment Flor is enjoying the delights of Bolivia and the Amazon basin and will return to duty as bass player in early June. So these gigs in Dublin and LK will also be tinged with sadness for us as they'll will be some of the last that will feature the great Paddy Tech. Paddy has slipped seamlessly into the band over the last year and we'll miss him terribly...
Come along and enjoy our electro rock styling this weekend as you may not get to again for awhile
